OUR COACHES

Our coaches coach simply because they LOVE netball! We are lucky enough to have a number of Level 2 qualified coaches who are supported by a Level 1 coach and parent volunteers.
LOUISE
Level 2 Coach & Club Founder
Louise is the co-founder of Sidmouth Netball Club and is our Lead Coach. Having completed her Level 2 coaching qualification in 2016, she currently coaches our U12s squad but helps out across all age groups. Lou loves seeing how the players progress and improve. She retired from playing for our adult senior team SNC Toucans in 2022 and believes that Wing Defence is the best position on the court – her netball hero being Jade Clarke!
Lou strongly advocates team sports for both children and adults as a way to build team spirit and competitive success and has a personal goal to see Sidmouth Netball Club get to 100 junior members!
Lou has won both the regional England Netball ONE Award and the national Muriel McNally Community Volunteer of the Year Award for "making an exceptional difference through consistent commitment and impact in the netball world" which is an outstanding achievement!
SANDRA
Level 2 Coach
Sandra has been involved in netball coaching for around 15 years now and has always loved coaching mixed ability junior players. Through that time she's supported both the Annual Youth Games and the England Netball Development Program and is keen to continue sharing her love of the game with the next generation, here in Sidmouth.
Sandra is loving coaching our U11s squad as well as the more senior U16s. She also still plays as a defender for SNC Toucans, one of our senior adult teams.
CLAIRE
Level 2 Coach
Claire has played netball since primary school and continued to play into adulthood until an injury stopped her a couple of seasons ago. However she hopes to get back to playing again soon!
Claire began coaching in 2022 so she could continue to be involved in all the things she loves about netball - the fun, team spirit and competition. She completed her Level 1 qualification in 2022, followed by Level 2 in 2023, and is currently kept on her toes by the U14s squad. Claire is enjoying developing their core skills and can't wait to see how this transfers into their match play.
